The ATA Black Belt Academy curriculum is based on two concepts: "positive mental attitude" and "high goal setting." These concepts not only help you become a better martial artist, they become an active part of your life!

We offer what we believe is the best martial art in the world: Taekwondo. Although this martial art form is centuries old, our programs are always evolving to keep pace with the changing world. At the ATA, we offer a variety of classes for all ages, fitness levels and abilities.

In addition to our extensive schedule of Adult Programs, we offer the following:

Karate for Kids

We have developed a program for children based on the traditional Taekwondo martial art called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids system is based on a combination of life/learning concepts and technical skills. Our monthly concepts stress:

Goals

Friendship

Perseverance

Self-Control

Confidence

Self-Improvement

Courtesy

Self Awareness

Respect

Integrity

Self-Esteem

Dedication

In addition to these themes, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special "Victory Stars" for outstanding performance or accomplishments in karate class, in school, at home or at a tournament competition.

Tiny Tigers

In addition to our internationally recognized Karate for Kids program, we offer a special program for younger children: the Tiny Tigers program.

The Tiny Tigers program can begin with the Cubs program, which was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 3 to 4. The Tiny Tigers program - which can follow a Cubs experience or which can be begin at any time - is designed for children ages 5 through 6.

Each program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline in a fun and exciting instructional setting. The program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.

Special Abilities

Children and adults with special needs or abilities can find ATA Taekwondo especially beneficial and empowering.

The Princeton ATA Black Belt Academy Special Abilities program tailors to each individual's needs, combining life skills with Taekwondo-based gross motor skills improvement and exercise.

For more information on our nationally-recognized program contact Miss Susan Winter at s_winter@princetonata.com.

We realize that each student possesses different physical abilities. Size and strength vary with each individual. Once you have acquired a strong foundation in the basics, our program will enhance your physical capabilities and maximize your self defense skills. You will understand exactly what it takes, mentally and physically, to defend yourself or your loved ones should the need ever arise.

At the ATA Black Belt Academy, we are not interested in just teaching self defense, we are interested in the complete personal development of each student. Individual attention is a feature of each and every class, allowing all students to progress quickly and confidently toward their personal goals. Our instructors take their responsibility seriously as role models for younger students, teaching them the importance of strong character, leadership and good values.

Here are just a few of the traits training at an ATA Black Belt Academy can help you develop:

Improved physical health, strength and conditioning

Goal Setting

Friendship

Perseverance

Self-Control

Confidence

Self Awareness

Self-Esteem
